Archaeology Adventures
Work alongside professional archaeologists at Crow Canyon’s current excavation site and in the laboratory, unearth and analyze ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi) artifacts that have been unseen and untouched for 800 years.

Dig for a Day
The Dig for a Day program runs three hours. The activity includes: digging, sifting, pottery examination and touring the National Park of Beit Guvrin with an exciting crawl through unexcavated cave systems. Currently, Archaeological Seminars is digging at Tel Maresha, in the area of Beit Guvrin, ancestral home of King Herod. Vast underground labyrinths of man-made rooms are being systematically cleaned and give evidence of underground industrial complexes dating from the Hellenistic period. Remains of olive oil production, weaving installations, water cisterns and baths confirm a high level of material culture. This site offers a wealth of discoveries and practical experience for those who want to “dig” but have limited time.

Paleontologist for a Day
Discover the exciting world of paleontology on an exciting discovery trek for two. Travel comfortably by helicopter and Hummer through the remote, unspoiled scenery of the Mojave Desert to an ancient marine fossil bed. Then pull out a shovel and experience the thrill of digging for fossil trilobites. These hard-shelled prehistoric critters once roamed the sea floor and coral reefs searching for food. When finished for the day, relax and enjoy the comforts of your luxury vehicle as you head for home.
